Our swimwear is entirely made by Luka, in Western Australia.
The collection is made to order which minimises wasted inventory and means each piece is crafted with you in mind.
Our digital prints are developed with Next State Print, an Ethical Clothing Australia accredited design studio in Melbourne.
Investing in local production is one of our core values and allows us to work in a more controlled and considered manner, reconnecting people and products through the story of making.
We always look to source the most responsible fabrics and components available to us.
Our swimwear is made from Italian fabrics using Recycled Econyl yarns.
Econyl uses synthetic waste such as industrial plastic, waste fabric, and fishing nets from oceans, then recycles and regenerates them into a new nylon yarn.
We source the majority of our fabrics from the Italian textile manufacturers Jersey Lomellina & Carvico.
Our outer fabric is incredibly hard wearing and has a firm sculpted fit.
Content : 65% Recycled Nylon / 35% Lycra
We choose a softer, smoother finish for our lining fabrics.
Content: 78% Recycled Nylon / 22% Elastane
- Sonne Tee
This piece is made from a recycled polyester yarn sourced directly through Next State Print.
This has a beautiful soft sheen and is UPF 50+.
Content : 85% Recycled Polyester / 15% Spandex
Sourced from the US and is rust proof, lead and nickel free.
- Natural Latex Rubber
This is found in all the legs and edges of your swimsuit.
Sourced from Taiwan and Oeko Tex certified, we choose to work with a ribbed variety rather than the standard talc coated option.
We source this locally through Shaan Group & EM Greenfield.
We are working toward using recycled threads but at this stage high minimum order quantities prevent us from doing so.
- Sew in labels
We work with Australian label makers Gang Apparel Accessories.
Please get in touch with us if you have any questions regarding how we make our products.
