PRODUCTION

Our swimwear is entirely made by Luka, in Western Australia.
The collection is made to order which minimises wasted inventory and means each piece is created with you in mind.

Investing in local production is one of our core values and allows us to work in a more controlled and considered manner, reconnecting people and products through the story of making.

MATERIALS

We source the most responsible fabrics and components available to us.

Fabrics

Our swimwear is made from Italian fabrics using ECONYL® regenerated nylon.

ECONYL® yarn is a 100% regenerated nylon fibre made from nylon waste otherwise polluting the Earth like fishing nets,
carpet flooring and industrial plastic rescued from all over the world.

We source the majority of our fabrics from the Italian textile manufacturers Jersey Lomellina & Carvico.
Both our options are UPF 50+ and hardwearing.

- Swimwear (UPF 50+)
This fabric is incredibly hard wearing and has a firm sculpted fit.
Content : 65%ECONYL® regenerated nylon / 35% Lycra

-  Rash Tops & Lining (UPF 50+)
This fabric is a soft and smooth fit.
Content: 78%ECONYL® regenerated nylon / 22% Elastane

Components

- Hardware
Sourced from the US and is rust proof, lead and nickel free.

- Natural Latex Rubber
This is found in all the legs and edges of your swimsuit.
We source Girflex rubber through an Australian supplier.

- Thread
We source COATS threads locally through an Australian supplier.
We are working toward using recycled threads but at this stage high minimum order quantities prevent us from doing so.

- Sew in labels
We work with Australian label makers Gang Apparel Accessories.
